The art historian and science writer Arnulf Rohsmann discusses in regina spricht in a conversation with Regina Hübner the artist's work under aspects of time on art-historical and philosophical level in particular reference to time and person and other selected works.
regina spricht is organized as part of the exhibition Regina Hübner, time and person by the MMKK Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten, the Carinthian Museum of Contemporary Art, Artspace Burgkapelle in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria, and it is the first of three events in program, connected to the exhibition.
During the conference there will be shown selected videoworks as examples of the artist’s oeuvre.
A videocompilation of those works will be shown during the exhibition, until September 4, 2016.
"... regina hübner‘s ironic impetus is based on the overt reference to the reversal of a process as represented in the chosen medium of video. the system of reference changes from the philosophy of time to the level of communication. the transformation of a process – in this case dripping- from a physical to an electronic medium breaks open the closed system which is one of the conditions of entropy. ..."

Arnulf Rohsmann holds a dialogue with Regina Hübner as a part of her exhibition time and person at the Artspace Burgkappelle oft the MMKK, the Carinthian Museum of Modern Art, Austria.
There will be shown examples of Hübner’s artworks. A videocompilation of those discussed works will be shown during the exposition of time and person at MMKK Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, in Austria, until the 4th September 2016.

Arnulf Rohsmann conducts a dialogue with Regina Hübner
Topics of enigmatisation of the image, deceleration / acceleration and divergence of complex levels of action are discussed based on works from the recent creative period of the artist. The
simulated reversibility in closed systems, which manifests itself in works such as happen and unhappen and other comparative examples, theorized and
brought in context with the visualized static and moving time in those submitted artworks.
Examples of works and excerpts from video works by Regina Hübner will be shown.
A compilation of discussed the works in their original length will be on display during the exhibition.
Arnulf Rohsmann has written for Zeit (time), which was exhibited at the experimental art-space Change + Partner Contemporary Art and at the Polish Institute, Palazzo Blumenstihl, in Rome, the text regina hübner / zeit. This essay, first published in Rome in 2005 in the exhibition catalogue Change + Partner Contemporary Art 2001 - 2005, accompanies the exhibition time and person in the Artspace Burgkapelle of MMKK Carinthian Museum of Modern Art.
Rohsmann knows the artistic work and the operation of Regina Hübner since her project Anonymus dedicated to Vally, which was shown from 2002 at the MLAC Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of Rome and other institutions and has written
essays for symposia at the Austrian Cultural Forums in Rome and Milan.
In June 2016, he will speak about the artist’s project temps – durée. Zeit,
Dauer und Stillstand. Il tempo come distanza, il tempo come permanenza. at
the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, in which a video installation by Regina Hübner will be shown with the music by Luca Lombardi.
Arnulf Rohsmann is, in addition to other numerous publications, the author of Zeit in der bildenden Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts, Olms and of Zeit / Los Zur Kunstgeschichte der Zeit, Kunst Halle Krems, Dumont.
Arnulf Rohsmann is an art historian and science writer and is considered an expert of the phenomenon "time" on international level.
In regina spricht si farà riferimento alla mostra in corso time and person e saranno discusse altre opere esemplificative ed estratti video come world VII, melting, desire, Anonymus dedicated to Vally altre opere della più recente produzione artistica di Regina Hübner.
Saranno discussi argomenti di enigmatizzazione, di decelerazione/ accelerazione e della divergenza in complessi livelli d’azione. La reversibilità simulata in sistemi chiusi, che si manifesta in opere come happen and unhappen ed in altri esempi comparativi, sarà contestualizzata con il tempo statico e con quello fluido visualizzato nelle opere d’arte presentate.
Rohsmann conosce il lavoro e il procedimento artistico di Regina Hübner e specialmente, oltre al lavoro Zeit (time), ha approfondito sul progetto Anonymus dedicated to Vally, il quale è stato esposto nel 2002 nel MLAC Museo Laboratorio d’Arte Contemporanea dell’Università „La Sapienza“ a Roma, a Venezia nella Galleria Nuova Icona, Oratorio di San Ludovico, negli Istituti di Cultura Austriaci di Milano e Roma, nella Elaine L. Jacob Gallery of the Wayne State University a Detroit e nella Galerie Freihausgasse Villach in Austria. Su questo progetto Arnulf Rohsmann ha partecipato nel 2003 al simposio L’autore si separa dall’opera con Simonetta Lux, Patrizia Mania e Luciano Perez al Forum Austriaco di Cultura a Roma e al simposio Spazio e destino tra opera d’arte e suo autore con Giancarlo Consonni, Gabriella Galzio e Carlo Sini, presso il Forum Austriaco di Cultura a Milano, nel 2004.
Arnulf Rohsmann ha redatto per Zeit (time), lavoro esposto in forma di atto performativo nello spazio sperimentale Change + Partner Contemporary Art a Roma nel 2005 e poi nell’Istituto Polacco Palazzo Blumenstihl, il testo regina hübner / zeit. Questo trattato è stato poi pubblicato nel catalogo espositivo Change + Partner Contemporary Art 2001 - 2005 a Roma nel 2005 e accompagna la mostra time and person al MMKK Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten, Kunstraum Burgkappelle con pubblicazione nel folder della mostra.
Zeit (time) è stato esposto in differenti forme installative anche all‘EXPO Milano 2015, Padiglione CasaCorriere e, nel 2006 durante la Notte Bianca Roma, nello Studio 9 di Cinecittà Studios SpA.
Il videowork Zeit (time) è parte della mostra in corso time and person al MMKK Kunstraum Burgkapelle.
Arnulf Rohsmann parlerà all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Vienna su temps – durée. Zeit, Dauer und Stillstand. Il tempo come distanza, il tempo come permanenza. il nuovo progetto, nel quale l’artista si è ispirata al concetto “temps/durée” di Rohsmann stesso. In quell’occasione verrà eseguita una videoinstallazione di Regina Hübner con la musica di Luca Lombardi.
Arnulf Rohsmann è storico dell’arte e autore scientifico ed è considerato esperto del fenomeno „tempo” a livello internazionale.
